Let's restore rigorous homework and feedback to their rightful place. Let's reallocate the resources necessary to fulfill the core mission: learning. As we embrace the shift in paradigm from teaching to learning, from sage-on-the-stage to guide-on-the-side and from teacher to student, the role of feedback becomes even more critical. Let's make feedback right—by our students.

Specialization is everywhere, except in Education

Doctors are aided by physician assistants, lawyers by paralegals. Surgeons are assisted by scrub nurses, executive chefs by sous-chefs. However, faculty have no such help, which limits their productivity.
