ABOUT US

ABOUT US

RichFeedback is a pioneer in providing assessment-of-learning and augmented-grading services to universities. We work with institutions and faculty to serve their feedback and grading needs.

Founded by faculty for faculty, the founders recognized more than a decade ago that grading as a means to provide feedback on students' homework assignments and exams was badly broken. Feedback was either lacking, sporadic, or minimal. Graded assignments came back too late for students to be able to learn from them.

Assessment of student learning at the program level also suffered from a similar lack of attention. Faculty do carry out assessment, but it largely became an exercise to satisfy the accreditors rather than something that transforms teaching, pedagogy, or curricula.

RichFeedback addressed itself to serving both of these needs.

We are inspired by the vision to ensure that the science of learning informs the art of teaching.

Too many educators are drawn to the classroom only to be burned out by the burden of grading. Decoupling grading from instruction helps faculty focus on teaching at its best, most rigorous, most supportive—and most enjoyable.

We are driven by the motto: no concept left a mystery, no homework returned without feedback.
